Only changes the FOURCC tag in the file to say "DIVX". But I feel pretty strongly that having to convert to what Apple TV supports is foolish. Does not actually use DIVX codec but uses XVID. Supports batch processing, automated 2-pass encoding, and advanced configuration options for all codecs. It is a unified GUI for 11 encoders - FFmpeg, MEncoder, FFmpeg2Theora, x264, LAME, NeroAAC, OggEnc, FAAC, avs2avi and WavPack.

In most cases, Tdeint ( order0 or 1, fullfalse) can produce a good picture (this is my personal opinion). Normally, just copying is a good choice for audio. UPDATE: DVDFAB does the same thing as XviD4PSP. FFcoder is an audio/video transcoding tool for windows. 2- Tdeint dont give the optimal result with mthreshL0. Using the default DirectShow filter is a good alternative, especially if you have installed a good codec pack. Burn doesn't reinvent the wheel, it uses many powerful open source Unix utilities and is also open source. If you are interested in knowing the results please reply here, and I will post them. Create video and audio discs, Burn will convert if needed. So I'm now going to try AVI/DIVX with DVDFAB. But for higher resolutions I have used AVI/XVID since H264/MP4 proves too much for it. I have used DVDFAB to backup my DVDs using H264/MP4 which my legacy XBox can handle. The quality is amazing, much better than the crappy 320x240 res vids Yay, well Im off to watch some Death Note.

Whilel Xvid4PSP does allow you to change the FOURCC setting to DIVX from the default XVID it is not really using XVID for encoding. Install PMPModAVC onto your PSP (a PMP player), then on your PC convert the choosen video to PMP AVC using xvid4PSP, and place it in a directory called PSP/Videos on your PSP. So in high motion sequences, playback stutters. The reason is that I learnt somewhere that on the legacy XBox (which is what I use to stream my videos using XBMC), at higher resolutions / bitrate, XviD encoding does not really honor the bitrate max setting. You can decrypt and encode in one go? Sorry for late reply, but I'm trying out what you are saying right now. More than 30 alternatives to choose: Free Media Converter, FFMpeg, Media Converter and. Have either of you used the encoding feature on dvdfab? It is in the platnium version (just using trial)? It has a h.264 option as well? I am looking at it from the ease of use.
